Let's build those Canadians project people.

This video might tell you what the CBC article will not.

Some of the points in this longish 26+ minute video for those who may not have the time to watch it:
  • This project has an open ended exemption of the anti-dumping laws (signed by Trudeau) allowing any amount of Chinese steel to be used on it. The exemption was for the original project but carries over to this extension because it's open ended in every way (time wise and amount wise).
  • The open ended exemption allows this project to be used to clandestinely import Chinese steel into Canada tariff free and then re-sell it in Canada or the US. This is the kind of stuff the US is legitimately concerned with both from Canada and Mexico. Mexico is in the process of capitulating on it. Carney is in the process of bankrupting Canada over it.
  • LNG is a very delicate industry due to the high pressures involved. Substandard materials could result in dangerous accidents..

TOPDAWGAll the mods are prefabbed in china and shipped across on vessels. Pretty stringent quality control as well, from employees of Shell. Lots of engineering controls at play here. Since China is an investor into the LNGC project and they have the capacity to fab these mods, thats the way it went.

Actually if you research the project youll find Canada didn’t invest in this project at all, which is why we aren’t fabbing them locally.
