So who is still working out? Who is needing motivation to work out? Who dropped off the bandwagon?

I am working out 3 to 4 times a week a min of 45 minutes a time. Hurt my knee so i dont run no more but i will soon as its healing good and i feel near ready. I want to do more but life isn't allowing me to get a lot of work out time lately greater then 45 min a time. I know that isnt an excuse i will do better. Who needs sleep right?

Do you go to a gym? Do it at home? Lift haybales in the field? How are you getting stronger??

Anyone need motivation or an easier workout routine to begin your journey?

Dump it out for us to see. Need help getting started just ask.

We need a men of the FCW calendar by Christmas to raise funds for the FCW as this site dont pay for itself

Get a broom stick and two buckets of sand some duct tape. Put both buckets of sand on one side ... errr one on either side and then send me the code off the back of a prepurchased google play gift card as kind payment for giving you this life saving hack

I picked up one of those Total Gyms that Chuck Norris used to peddle a couple weeks back and have been loving it.

I used do Muay Thai, BJJ and other assorted martial arts but too many injuries took me out the game.

I do anywhere from 1 to 4 hours of yoga a day and anywhere from 1 to 2 hours hitting my dumbbells each week. The total gym is slowly working its way into the rotation for about 3 sessions a week.

I don't necessarily work out everyday but the daily yoga has kept me going well past my natural expiration.

None of this compares to self abuse I used to inflict on myself in my teens and twenties before shoulder impingements and herniated discs slowed me right the fuck down.

After what I did to my back about a decade ago I thought I would be in a wheelchair by now.

DDP and Adriene Mishler basically gave me my life back.

I am gonna look into Ddp and the other thing i no want to type cause i am lazy

Will that stuff fix knees

DDP yoga does wonders for your knees. Even he admits calling it yoga was a bit of a marketing snafu. It certainly resembles yoga but also features a lot of slow moving calisthenics and is done at a pace fast enough to get a good sweat going. None of the hippy spiritual shit either.

She is probably the best yoga teacher to start with.

On doctors advice, and it was a good decision - I'm down almost 30 pounds since October, and I fully intend to keep going.

Did u say a doctor gave you advice that made sense?

I am gonna rub my eyeballs and read that again

If you hurt your knee try swimming, and considering the weather what better time?

I have my swimming pool set up and that has been helping a bit i am sure. You never think about your knees until one blows i have learned. Think about it a lot lately. Its gonna heal just takes time. I am taking collagen and loads of vitamin c as well as advil. But advil isnt good so i might take up weed. Just kidding i wouldnt do that stuff cause drugs are bad.

The office witch offered me some kinda stone for it and told me that will patch me up but i havent taken her up on the offer yet. Honestly i dont know what to make of her. She sure is convinced that her rocks will fix anything. Each to their own right?

Thanks for the advice i appreciate it.

I lift 4 times a week but I feel I'm at a point where diet is where the next gains to improve my physique are not working out (so much).

Diet is hard especially if your a busy person. I am very busy all the time and so diet falls to the way side a lot. This can cause problems if you dont correct the bad habbits overtime. I find if you dont go stray to long its not to bad. Staying away from sugar is my best advice. Sugar can really destroy a person trying to stay fit.

I wish you luck on the diet battle.

Four kids under five with bales n pails does seems to work on-top of the regular work. Either clothes are shrinking on me or my arms and shoulders have grown a fair bit the last couple years. Pretty much been a lean 160~lbs from highschool through most my 20's but up to around 185~lbs now. Large shirts have mostly been too small the last couple years but even a bunch of the extra larges have been too tight lately.
Really should quit smoking... But they keep me going and as many times as I skirt past death in a day I figure something else will get me before they do.

Workout at home almost every day - mostly body weight and pull-ups, but I recently got adjustable dumbbells and they are great. I like boxing and sometimes I go for runs (but I hate running).

There was some crazy muslim on my last flight from Canada to Europe who was threatening and screaming at a women passenger and the female flight attendants. I almost had to intervene, but luckily they calmed him down after the woman being threatened ran away to the front of the plane. That incident has been motivating me to get stronger.

Keep it up boys!

I have a pretty sweet home gym. I workout 4-6 days a week, depending on motivation. Was powerlifting again, pulled my pec 2 month ago, had to go back to dumbbells/kettlebells. Still deadlifting(usually don't in the summer), decided not to go above 400lbs(It's pointless, risks don't outweigh the rewards).

I'm always managing/working around injuries. Suck it up, adjust and move on. Pulled the tendon in my forearm/bicep right before Christmas, it's been nagging. I was doing weighted pull ups, my body warned me a few times(I didn't listen). Haven't been able to do cleans or weighted pull ups since. Just body weight since.

Airdyne bike for cardio, climbing stairs(weighted), lake time(swimming treading water).

I picked up a 48kg/106lbs kettlebell a while back. It was kicking my ass. I can handle it pretty well now. It's a monster.

I have the holy grail of adjustable dumbbells. 125lbs Urethane Powerblocks. They are the best. Use them all the time. The upgrade from 90lbs to 125lbs is kind of ridiculous, they are 2 feet long. Kind of awkward at that length.

My diet hasn't been the greatest. I drink a few beers a week, my wife bakes fresh sourdough bread(I can't not eat it), I absolutely love peanut butter, eat dark chocolate, fries/chicken strips). It's cherry season, been binging on cherries this week.

My sleep schedule is terrible so I snack regularly. I'm not fat, but could lose 20lbs to lean out.

I put a toll on the pantry, if I open the doors. I have to do calf raises(15-20 reps per leg +20 reps both legs).

Do grip and jaw training when I watch a show/movie a couple times a week. I bought this monstrosity 20250717_024008.jpgit's all steel with multiple springs, fully adjustable. Gives wicked blisters. I mix it with other grip stuff to mitigate the blisters.

Where’d you get that grip contraption? Let me know how you find it.

@Sgt. Goosenip
Funny enough, I didn't even know what it was called(I've had it for years). I had to do a reverse image search. It's called a Super Gripper, a bunch of brands make them(IVANKO, IW Super Gripper, VICE Super Gripper with Knurling, Titan Super Gripper).

I bought mine at a local fitness store. They aren't very expensive and you can keep adding springs. I take it on road trips and keep it in the door. I always have a grip strength trainer for road trips. It helps keep me alert if I'm feeling tired and gets the blood pumping from hours of holding the steering wheel.

@Beers2Freedom can it crack those nuts that are commonly found at Christmas that no one eats cause the nut cracker thingy is never where it should be?

just kidding

i shall be off to my fitness store to get me one of these as I have another type that maxes out at 75 pounds and I am at max. I could probably step up a bit with something like this

good tip

I workout 6-7 days a week. Weights (barbells, dumbbells, body weight) 3 days, boxing (heavy bag, shadow boxing, drills) 3 days; I try to get a run in once a week and get in for sparring once a month or so.

I’m mostly motivated by watching all the insane stuff going on in Europe these past years, having young kids, and knowing that I may be in a situation where I’ll need to to protect them. I’ve also been dealing with a chronic illness and the intense exercise helps a lot (I’m less and less confident in our medical system by the day); I tend to be a bit OCD about it to avoid getting sick.

I’m currently looking to develop my grip strength (recently picked up some Iron Grips), so if anyone has any tips, I’m all ears!

Try adding some kettlebells to your rotation. Doing big heavy cleans with a kettlebell will strengthen up your grip and forearms like fucking mad.

Absolutely, kettlebells will kick your ass if your grip is weak. (At first I had to tape the handles.)

Deadlifts and cleans also. They'll literally pull your grip apart. For deadlifts you can switch to a hook grip((tucked thumbs)feels horrible)
Straps or an alternating grip help for big weights. Out lifting your grip is common.

Pull ups as well, but you can cheat with a hook/ape grip. If you get tendonitis from pull-ups, It's because you aren't gripping the bar with your thumbs. Grip it like you mean it and the tendonitis will go away.

I've been lifting for 10 years, since I was 21. Every second day at minimum sometimes more. I'm fuckin jacked lol, but basically at my natural limit. I've run a cycle of test only once about 5 years ago and SARMS a bunch of times but they don't do much. Test was awesome and I'm starting to feel my age a little now so I might try it out again soon. I'm 200-205lbs right now, 220 jacked is the goal.

I tried one cycle of Dianabol about a decade back. Only did half the recommended daily dose just because I was a little skeptical. That shit works almost overnight, like going through puberty a second time. Definately makes you a cheater in an athletic competition but damn does it ever dial you up to 11.

You don’t have to be Arnold Schwarzenegger, but if you have a large pregnant-like round belly, huge love handles, and soft, feminine breasts, it is tough for people to fully respect you. When you take care of yourself, it radiates positively off of you and it’s impossible to be truly confident if you know that you’re not physically taking care of yourself. Also, your brain is part of your body. If you are neglecting to take care of your body, don’t you think that also has an impact on your brain?
