Announcement House keeping and thread sorting update!

Hey guys,

We will be moving threads that have no new comments after 3 days to the archives. This will mean the "Popular" sort function will be useful and not show stuff from a month ago, and will keep only relevant and trending threads in General. Threads moved to Archives can still be commented on, voted, liked, etc they just won't appear in General. This should make sorting simplified.

I think three days is to short maybe make it a week?
Sometimes people go away for a week at a time for work, I'm one one of them.
But hey I'm cool with whatever just putting in my two cents

I feel ya but popular threads and threads that havent been commented on in a week don't belong in the same place. If the thread has activity it won't go away - it's only if people stop commenting for 3 days. Most threads have comments for 3-4 days so this should theoretically give a "popular" thread about a week in general. Hope that makes sense?

Alright, we are just testing for now. Already talking about getting a legit algorithm made to make better search and sort features. We are just gonna test this for a bit, let me know if it ends up working out for you or if you still think the timing needs adjustment.
