National Post: Young Canadians are struggling to find work: "I thought that by now I'd have some sort of job"

CaptainTrouble
The boomers abd politicians really ducked up opportunities for young Canadians. We need to stop bringing in massive and I mean massive amounts of street shitters and we should send the ones here all back.

Then invest in Canadians for a change to get trained for the jobs in demand. Even help financially for educating them and then our people get the careers not some mixed meat from gawd knows where. It would be a lot cheaper than what we waste on Indian scammers, fake refugees living the high life in hotels and all the dei bullshit....

It's not just young Canadians that are fucked. I got laid off at the beginning of the year. Took me 6 months to find a new job and I'm paid less than my old job. Everyone is getting fucked over but young people most especially. The job I just got is a job someone right out of university can get (I got this job 10 years ago right out of university) but they'd have to compete with me who had post graduate certificates and a decade of experience they don't. I also essentially haven't moved up in 10 years (but that's because I picked location over career advancement so I chose that sacrifice). Still, it's just another indicator of the terribly run country we live in.

Based on the AI analysis I've been running, if we limited immigration to 0.25% of total population per year and made some changes to boost birth rates (which can work given the evidence), we'd keep our population mostly the same over time. I'd actually opt to reduce the total population by keeping immigration to 0.2%/yr which is less than 100k immigrant a year. We'd also significantly raise the bar for immigration which would get rid of Indians altogether. I propose an IQ test for immigration also.

We actually don't need to start thinking of new plans for the government to help Canadians. All we really need to do is lower taxes, cut social programs and reduce the bureaucracy by eliminated tons of government oversight and regulations. Canadians will then do what they need to on their own to get ahead. Most jobs don't need degrees and training can be done and paid for by the companies. The issue is when the government subsidizes both education and training, the companies take full advantage of it and it starts becoming a requirement because everyone has it even if it's not needed. If companies need workers, they will hire workers. If they can't find workers but they need workers and their company is making profit such that they really need those workers, they've train them themselves and don't need a government to pay for it for them. Of course the companies will beg the government to pay for the education and training because why wouldn't they? If society can subsidize the education and training of their workers of course the companies will take that over them paying for it but if the society isn't subsidizing this training and education then the companies will pick up the slack and do it themselves.

Government subsidies to both will actually end up with a less efficient allocation of resources toward education and training than if the companies themselves educated and trained the people they needed to as they needed it. With much lower taxes and reduced government regulations, it won't necessarily cost the companies anything either.

Based on the AI analysis I've been doing, Canada can eliminate all taxes at every level of government including property taxes and only have a 12% GST + resource royalties and Canada would payoff the debt completely in 45 years then taxes could be held at a 5.5% GST + royalties forever without ever taking on debt. This is for all levels of government not just federal.

All Canada needs to do is eliminate social programs entirely, eliminate regulations and lower taxes. The companies will find workers, train them and educate them. Canadians themselves will do the rest. A few queries to AI and a little mentorship can get people up to speed on how to do any job. Well, people with decent IQ. And we'll start improving our IQ with a society that doesn't punish the smartest to elevate the most stupid.

Take a look at the overview of the plan. I included disability coverage for those who can't work grandfathered in.

We could grow the economy and work on our social issues but you must understand that if we do that Donald Trump wins and we can't have that.
