Just the same old strategy from the crown.

How the british crown used indians to suppress the people of burma

The British Crown used a "divide and rule" strategy that heavily integrated millions of Indians into Burma's military, administrative, and economic infrastructure to suppress native Burmese resistance and maintain colonial control. After making Burma a province of British India in 1886, the British relied on Indians as proxies, which effectively neutralized local power structures and placed a foreign buffer between the British elite and the native population.
The strategy operated through several distinct layers:

1. Military Suppression

The British Crown heavily distrusted the native Burmese population and completely banned them from serving in the colonial military for decades.
• The Colonial Garrison: To pacify the country and crush local rebellions, the British deployed tens of thousands of Indian sepoys and Nepalese Gurkhas who belonged to the British Indian Army.
• Crushing the Resistance: During the brutal "pacification" period following the Third Anglo-Burmese War (1885), more than 30,000 British and Indian troops were used to hunt down Burmese guerrillas, burn resisting villages, and implement collective punishment.

2. Administrative Control

Rather than allowing the Burmese to manage their own local affairs, the British imported a pre-trained workforce from India to run the colony.
• The Bureaucratic Tier: The colonial civil service, the police forces, and municipal clerical roles were heavily staffed by Indian migrants and Anglo-Burmese individuals.
• The Face of Oppression: Because Indian clerks collected taxes and enforced colonial laws, they became the everyday face of British subjugation. Native Burmese were structurally excluded from intermediate and high-level government jobs, rendering them politically powerless in their own country.

3. Economic Marginalization

The British restructured Burma into an export-oriented "corporate farm" primarily focused on rice production. To do this efficiently, they fostered an environment where Indian capital and labor dominated the economy.
• Debt and Land Alienation: British banks did not lend to native farmers. Consequently, Burmese peasants were forced to borrow money from Chettiars (a caste of Indian moneylenders) at exorbitant interest rates to clear land for rice cultivation. When economic downturns hit, the Chettiars foreclosed on the loans, leading to the mass eviction of Burmese farmers from their ancestral lands.
• Labor Displacement: The Crown subsidized the influx of millions of indentured Indian laborers into the Irrawaddy Delta and urban centers like Rangoon. Because these migrants arrived from famine-stricken areas in India, they worked for lower wages than the local population. This displaced native workers, forcing many into poverty or driving them to banditry (dacoity) out of desperation.

The Lasting Consequence

By using Indians to control the levers of the military, bureaucracy, and economy, the British Crown successfully insulated itself from direct Burmese fury. This setup bred intense anti-Indian sentiment and xenophobia among the native Burmese, who viewed the Indian population as co-colonizers.
This systemic friction exploded into violent anti-Indian riots in the 1930s and fueled a fierce nationalist movement. It also sowed the seeds for long-term ethnic and religious conflicts—such as the legal and social marginalization of Muslim minorities in Rakhine State—that continue to plague Myanmar today.

Sometimes when I read these absurd press releases, I wonder, who is this written for? Yes, the fact that they want to flood Canada with 15 million more 3rd world migrants is true but no reasonable person could ever believe their reasoning for it as it makes no sense. And if they are lying about why they are doing it, their true reason must be bad for their intended audience. And yet that intended audience sees no problem with it. I think the defining thing about a Liberal Canadian has to be smugly thinking they're smart while being absolutely retarded.

What growing job demand are they trying to fill? At the rate that the Canadian economy is being destroyed, there aren't going to be any jobs for anyone left. What about the current huge Canadian unemployment numbers indicates that we need to import a ton of foreign workers?

They're not importing any doctors or nurses so are not going to shore up our healthcare system for an aging population. The only services the immigrants will be providing for the elderly is scamming them out of their money but now from inside Canada instead of India. I guess Canada wants to grow its telephone scamming industry instead of relying on India or Nigeria to scam they Canadian elderly.

They only plausible explanation for why they might want to do this that I can think of is that they simply want to displace the current Canadians. Then, it seems that they will sell off Canadian resources to the highest bidder and use the new immigrants to extract them. The Carney supporters think they are preserving Canadian sovereignty but in reality are helping him destroy Canada as an independent country altogether. More so than joining the US ever would.

It really frustrates me how dumb so many Canadians are that they don't see the obvious problem with something like this. Or maybe they don't know about it but it's not like they can't look around and realize something very wrong is happening to Canada.

NDP supporters have to have IQs below room temperature if they believe anything this guy has said. So let's say we do nationalize the Canadian steel industry, then what?
1. Are we going to keep producing steel but without a buyer so letting it pile up.
2. Stop producing steel but keep paying the workers.
3. Produce the steel but sell it at a huge loss. Who do they think will pay the difference, the billionaires? And even if the government got their money, how would wasting that money on a failed benefit Canada or most Canadians?
4. Produce the steel and use that steel to build large quantities of T-55 tanks to spread the communist revolution. I suspect that is what this lunatic actually has in mind.

Fifth of November is coming up.

Correct. Instead, offer to MAID them.

Even better, if you successfully MAID them, you will get a nice kick-back from the government for your trouble.
