A Facebook post Sunday morning showed a group of masked men in black clothing, hats and white face coverings standing on the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc reserve beside Kamloops, some of them holding flags.

CFJC Today reporter Elora McCormack put the pictures online at 11:06 a.m. PDT and wrote that a logo on several of the outfits appeared to match Second Sons Canada, a men’s group that researchers and a federal safety brief have classed as white nationalist.

The station credited the still to the Facebook account of Cam Gottfriedson.

Conservative Party of BC interim leader Lorne Doerkson condemned the gathering 51 minutes later, having just completed a campaign stop press conference in Surrey.
McCormack put the pictures online at 11:06 a.m. PDT and wrote that a logo on several of the outfits appeared to match Second Sons Canada, a men’s group that researchers and a federal safety brief have classed as "white nationalist."

Second Sons describes itself on its website as a fraternal “men’s nationalist club” built around "camaraderie, fitness" and what it calls a "stolen Canadian birthright."

With so many advocating to make ‘Residential School Denialism’ a hate crime and the snap BC election, I smell an op. I thought Second Sons oppose immigration, so taking a shot at feathers instead of dots just before feather holy day?

I disagree, there is no evidence suggesting the Sons are fed beyond hearsay. I've seen it many times where we get into an awful insular spiral in our circles where we look at what the enemy is going to do instead of what we're doing, and then side with the authorities reflectively and tell people not to act. It's bad because we are essentially heckling people for trying to promote our values in public. There is no 5d chess maneuver to successfully launch a group like this, it is always going to be controversial and ruffle feathers.

With groups, my bottom line is very simple: Are they pushing the political ball forward? Are they NOT riddled by stories of people being arrested? Okay, the Sons are still valid. It takes brave men to stand out in public and do anything under the media's eye these days, I do respect that.

It is pathetic how politicians are so retarded when it comes to lack of proof regarding this hoax and never mention burned down Churches.
