Conservatives aren't really smart enough to continue to win.
Demographics are destiny. Doesn't matter how great your politics are if a bunch of Indians raid your province. Unfortunately, conservatives still believe in the false God of Equality and think non-Whites can and will value the same thing White Conservatives value if only those values are represented fairly (without CBC propaganda). The reality is that study after study shows that genetics determine politics more so than any other factor.
The only way for provincial conservatives to win is to attack the problem of demographics. The UCP needs to cut taxes by 90% and axe nearly ALL government spending, especially all on social programs while privatizing education and healthcare entirely with no government involvement. Why? Because that will drive all the leaches who vote against conservative values out of the province. But fat chance of that ever happening. Nearly every conservative I talked to in Alberta loved their social programs and boasted how they had the best social programs in all of Canada. Well, you get what you support. Alberta will continue to vote in socialist parties because it's run like a socialist province.
