Off Topic Solar Eclipse 2026

Still remember the day I got to see a total eclipse at lake balaton in Hungary. Fricken amazing I tell ya. The way the light dims is something else. Not like a cloud, not like dusk turning into night… it’s wild… almost like a glimpse into space.

I saw the same thing in eastern New Brunswick a couple of years ago; it took place at 4 p.m. on a (thankfully) cloudless April day. The best part was seeing all the orangey-white colours of the corona. (But it was also fun to witness a couple of African students from UNB standing near me who watched the whole eclipse without protective glasses because they were trusting to their melanin superpowers... I wonder how that turned out)
