“I think we should be looking at ways to recoup the costs of repairs to such structures and public property like this, and I fully would like to see some of these people who have been blatantly bragging about wanting to deface something in a hateful matter like this become fully responsible and pay,” Baillie said.

The motion officially calls for a report on options for enforcement, bylaw changes, and cost recovery options related to defacing or damaging any highway markings, traffic control devices, or related municipal traffic infrastructure on a road.

From what i have seen, rainbow crosswalks are almost always withing a few blocks of an elementary school or community centre. ie. places where children frequent. That should be alarming for a normal person, but it isn't.
