A Chase councillor is getting clapback from local Indigenous communities regarding comments made about Truth and Reconciliation efforts.

“Yeah, I’m not a fan of it. I Googled it and that as of 2023, we have – the country – has spent $4.9 billion on truth and reconciliation already. I mean, how many more years do we have to keep going with this?” he said. “I mean, enough is enough. I do not agree with flags on the school, I don’t agree with crosswalks or sh*t on the wall. They’re all political statements as far as I’m concerned.
“It’s not the Indian bands that are really pushing this, it’s white people that are really pushing this… Liberals.”

Even people (almost all leftists and maxxed vax) I know that used to support or be meh when it comes to injuns are sick to death of the endless whining, complaining, money, the land they are being given. preventing development etc Once you see more bs like Richmond BC you will see more people hating them.
