Why the fuck would I buy a car that’s at least $15,000 more than my current one? I’d have to spend a lot on gas just to make up the difference. I’d also need both an outside hookup to charge the thing, unless I want to sit in a parking lot like an retard charging it. Also, if everyone did this, the grid couldn’t handle it, and electricity prices would skyrocket. I also live in Alberta damn EV's are worthless in winter.

If you warm a BYD EV for 2 hours before driving it in the cold you might get 200 Km. Apparently that is better the american ev.

@TOPDAWG i just got a new vehicle and its not an EV and seats, steering wheel and inside all heat up wicked quick. Had cars with these features in past and it took forever

Only downside i see to anything new is the screens. I really dont like screens everywhere

I let the wife use it and continue to use my truck

Remember with all those screens that the factory can, or soon will, be able to shut your car down on a whim. You don't own it, it's just a long term rental.

Wife wanted it so she got what she wanted. She was getting the gears at work to upgrade. Peer pressure is a hell of a drug and they think I am cheap. Not cheap just i like what i can maintain and if its not broken to bad why not just take care if it. Finance people suck

She had enough i guess and decided it was time to get everyone to shut up. It sure is fancy. I cant figure out all the stuff it has in it. As long as she is happy with it then thats all that counts.

Hopefully once all the www features expire in 10 years it will still work. Probably sell it in a few years however and get something else because i told her i cant fix a lot of what can break in the vehicle. Let someone else deal with those issues

Why the hell did we skip over hybrids? Seems like the best of both worlds to me. And the batteries are not insane cost‑wise. I get my gas mileage and can use the electric for local driving where it does burn more gas stopping and going.
