Canada has a great opportunity here to make the country even better.

• Put a 20% income tax on all non-citizen workers in Canada.
• Make the path to citizenship take 20 years.
• Put a GST of 15% on used house sales. Ask all provinces to lower property taxes to 0 in exchange for being given the revenues raised by the sale tax
• Cut all environmental regulations pertaining to GHG Emissions and only keep reasonable environmental regulations in place pertaining to pollution
• Cut all regulatory oversight in every industry to lower administrative costs to do business and allow businesses to take on more risk
• Give all Native Indians a fair buyout for their land and abolish the Indian Act then integrate Native Indians into Canada as equal citizens no different or special than anyone else
• Cut social program spending by 20%
• Lower taxes by 20%
• Implement tariffs on all American imports where Canadians produce a similar product such that the tariffs equal the government supports the Americans provide to their companies. A prime example is Bombardier vs. Boeing. Boeing is heavily subsidized because of the military agreements and should have significant tariffs on them.

Voila, I fixed Canada and I didn't need a PhD or to have worked at a central bank to do it.
