@Hirudinea To be honest, at this point I think Garry is playing word games.
I dont think his meaning is that they are going door to door to EVERYONE with a license or suspected of having a prohibited weapon.
I think they are going to use these cops to go around and confiscate the guns of the people who signed up in the portal and declared what they have, in return for (hopefully) some compensation.
This way he isn't lying per se. They are sending cops to doors, but they aren't going to visit every license holder.

The criminals aren't getting licenses and they still have guns. A gun license is an absurd thing. Everyone should be able to own a gun. A government has no business restricting anyone's ability to own weapons.
