This is really true. The US military is not a good occupying force, it's not what it was designed for. It is designed for precise and objective destruction in order to bring political leaders to the table.

Thanks for making me check myself. That said, I believe my original statement was correct. Ukrainian started separating during the late middle ages, but its modern form didn't arrive (at least in text) until the 18th century as I claimed earlier. As such, any document produced in the medieval time period wouldn't be easily identifiable as 'Ukrainian' as the languages were mutually intelligible for centuries (and are even somewhat still to this day).

I'd expect more Venezuelan oil to be entering markets as soon as the infrastructure and logistics are there for it and the high price of oil will be what pays for it.
