Ex-judge decides if constables must apologize to Heiltsuk pair

B.C.'s Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner has appointed a retired judge to determine if two officers wrongfully handcuffed an Indigenous man.

i have said for years that we should have driven them in to the sea when we had the chance. our fatal flaw is we left some of them alive thinking they would assimilate . we thought that we could teach them about God and how to act like a White man. we built them schools to try to teach the ignorant savages how to read . they resent us to this day for it and they never did assimilate . we should have taken the american approach and wiped them off the face of the earth
