Top of the G7 for food inflation

I think more Indian immigrants could help tackle rising food prices. They open grocery stores, restaurants, or catering businesses that focus on ethnic foods. This brings more competition, which can drive prices down. They have strong connections to suppliers in India and other countries, and source food at lower costs. If more Indians get into the food business, it could help keep prices more affordable for everyone, especially for Canadian staples like rice, lentils, and spices.

FYI you can just ‘ignore’ this retard

We grow food here don’t we - like once a year it pops out of the ground, right?

What explains this, the dollar is shitty with a downward spike last winter but otherwise stuck in the same 71-72 cent range to the usd. Diesel is overpriced but again going down from 2024 through 2025. Is there something still pushing up costs (taxes, regulation changes) that I’m forgetting about?

Is inflation just that sticky? Is all food going to double in price 5 -10 years from now? Again?
