Remember when the Tories wanted age verification for porn sites and there were posters here on FCW claiming that if you were against it you were a pervert? It was never about porn, you idiots. At some point it'll be suggested that since many sites are capable of hosting adult content (including this one) it'd just be easier to require everyone to login to the internet with a unique ID -- something that the European Union has already been pushing for years
 
People are naturally protective of children which is why tyrants always go for the "Oh won't somebody please think of the Children" angle.

That angle doesn't appeal so much to the natural protective instincts of men, because men understand that it's our responsibility to protect our own children. The "won't somebody think of the children!" line is designed to appeal to women and deadbeats who want the government to raise their children for them and are too lazy to monitor their own kids online activities.
 
@dagthegnome: I think a more effective and more normie-palatable reform of voting rights would grant a much greater electoral influence both to property owners and to the heads of households (whether male or female) with children, because after all those are the two social blocs with the greatest stake in society's future
 
@ChevChelios I don't think any voting reform will be enacted, unless it's some left-wing drive to further devalue the franchise by including non-citizens or adolescents, unless there is a total societal breakdown, at which point it would be both possible and necessary to completely renegotiate the social contract. At that point, and only at that point, will there be the political will to actually remove the right to vote from people who should never have had it.

I am firmly against disenfranchising young men who don't own property or have not yet fathered children. For as long as those young men are the ones who will be expected to go off and die in wars their government has seen fit to involve them in, they should have a say in who comprises that government.

Women, on the other hand, have no such claim to the franchise, and with very few exceptions, they can be convinced to support any agenda as long as you tell them a sad enough story. They are not rational beings, and should not have the same decision-making power as men.

In our ideal state we would only engage in defensive wars to defend the sovereignty of our borders, and have some kind of built-in constitutional prohibition against sending our young men thousands of miles overseas to defend the borders of foreign countries

As a woman, this argument is so tiresome. All humans have emotions, and being aware of or in tune with our own or other's emotions does not make us "irrational". It is an essential aspect of being human. Men and women can both be driven by their emotions - men often by anger or passion, women often by empathy or misplaced compassion.

Perhaps many women are more inclined to vote left, because of the "safety and security" it seems to imply that the government provides to them and their children. Perhaps they have been targeted specifically because of their unique life giving and maternal role in society - now I'm not gonna make excuses, but a big reason why many women lean left is because motherhood and family has been devalued for decades - by extreme conservatives/Christians who use bible verses to pressure them to "submit" to men outside of the proper biblical context, implying that their role is lesser and nothing more than a "helper" to man....(I've done deep dives into this topic, trying to understand it, so I'm not gonna go on a rant about it now, but this distorted mindset is absolutely real and a huge contributor to why things are the way they are now.) Also by secular society which encourages consumerism, social media addiction, and seeking validation from the crowd. The industrial revolution also completely changed the way families work together, and forced a divide between the "working man" and the "stay at home woman"....

Instead of fueling the fire between the sexes, maybe try to figure out the root issue that has pushed alot of women to vote left.

Regardless of what your stance on women voting is, I find it unnecessary to bring up the "rational being" part - because no one talks about all the men that use fame or politics as a dick measuring contest.

Right now, I'm kinda pissed off, yet instead of simply calling you a "retard" out of anger, I actually managed my emotions enough to say my piece respectfully - if that's not rational, I don't know what is.

I don't care about the much-lamented tendency of women to vote "left." The real social divide is between individualism and collectivism: freedom and authoritarianism. And on that axis, women almost always come out on the side of authoritarianism. Whether it's left-wing feminists clamouring for the destruction of male spaces and shrieking that men should not be allowed to look at them, except for the hot ones, and demanding an end to freedom of speech; or conservative women pearl-clutching about pornography and video games, just as the Women's Temperance League was the singular driving force behind prohibition because they don't like men having any social interactions with each other that don't involve women, the overall societal trend towards government control of all aspects of our lives has been almost exclusively driven by women's insecurities, women's reactionism, and women's need for control. These tendencies are expertly manipulated by the managerial elite to undermine the resistance that free-thinking people, almost exclusively men, put up to their insatiable power-grabs, and the most efficient way to rob them of that weapon is to deprive women of the right to vote. Your efforts to muddy the waters with guilt-trips and appeals to emotion will fall on deaf ears in my corner.

Sensible Citizen: ‘Surely, you could find, ban, and/or fine those hosting such content. I heard the biggest online porn website is owned by a Canadian - put political pressure on them until they do something.’

Government: ‘No, that’s too hard and we like adults fapping all day instead of being angry with us. We just need to age verify everybody to use das internets!’

As bad as all this is, it will create massive incentives for people to find workarounds and alternatives. When there is a will, there will nearly always be a way.

As for youtube there are a million ways to use youtube without going directly to youtube and there is no need to use google search

It will take some adjusting to but the web is useable just broken for Aussies till a new system arises
 
I remember first going online around 1994 and being baffled by Gopher, Veronica, Archie and all of the other pre-Web means of accessing online content at the time. But perhaps a regression to the BBS era will be our salvation once the "mainstream" internet becomes subject to authoritarian surveillance and control

Our provincial/federal governments can't even decide if fee simple land is owned by natives, or the poor schlump paying taxes year-in and year-out. Yet these same idiots see fit to micromanage our lives with tyranny like having an internet login so they can monitor our 'minds'. 1984 was always a warning, but it has now become a playbook.

The powers that be always go after the wrong people with things like this, gun bans and things like being 18 plus to buy a butter knife in UK as they do not want to put the blame on where it belongs aka the third world garbage they import. So the countries old stock or indigenous in case of UK aka Caucasians suffer, alleged right wingers get blamed due to their utter hatred towards White people who they see as an ( imho unfounded ) threat. It is because of the turd world mass immigration we get punished.
