People in Canada cant afford to live and Carney gives our money away to a nation so corrupt that the headlines around the world are all about the corruption.

None of this money is going to help the people of Ukraine this is to prop up Carneys frens

So it will end in the hands of some corrupt white Orthodox Christians instead of being redistributed to corrupt jeets in Canada? I see that as a win.

Please explain? Zelenski banned the church and arrested the leaders.

He banned the Russian Orthodox Church, the leader of which, Patriarch Kirill was probably a KGB agent. So kinda like the British government shutting down the BUF in WWII.

But make up your own mind.

There is a difference between the Russian and the Ukrainian orthodox church. There is also a Serbian orthodox church. The orthodox church is as split up as the region it comes from.

@RightOfSask: "because the alternative would be even more expensive"

I hope this isn't referring to the fantasy that Putin poses any kind of military threat to Canada

@RightOfSask: We've been through this before. A largely semi-developed country with 145 million people (and that number is rapidly dropping), which has been unable to conquer more than a sliver of the territory of a much smaller neighbour during three gruelling years of fighting, cannot possibly defeat a much larger and more prosperous superstate of 500 million, nor would it wish to do so knowing that the attempt would be suicidal.

Governments and their media lackeys are trying to depict Putin as the new Hitler so you will accept the forced military slavery of potentially millions of young (and mostly white) men, many of whom will die horrible and pointless deaths in eastern Europe so that our rulers can become richer and more powerful. After all the lies you've been told over the past few decades, and especially over the past few years, how can you possibly swallow this particular narrative? Have the people who lied to you about Covid and BLM and Native "genocides" suddenly become infallible truth-tellers when it comes to Ukraine? Isn't more logical to assume that they are lying for the sake of their own self-interest, as usual?

@ChevChelios
Yeah, true. We should trust the truth sayer Putin and his word that he will never attack Europe. Just as he promised that Crimea will be forever Ukrainian or that he doesn't want any territory in Ukraine.

Also Putin and Russia won't be fighting alone against the West. But you can continue to stuck your head into sand and trust the very peaceful nations of Russia and China.

@RightOfSask: "We should trust the truth sayer Putin and his word that he will never attack Europe"

He won't fucking attack Europe because he can't fucking win. Are you even listening to what I am saying, or is just easier for you to pretend that I'm a dupe or a stooge of the Kremlin?

"Just as he promised that Crimea will be forever Ukrainian"

Crimea was part of Russia for most of its modern history, is full of Russian speakers, and has had a vital Russian naval base for two centuries. Putin would have been a damn fool not to have annexed it once the US State Department decided to spend $5 billion on a "colour revolution" to install a Western-friendly puppet regime in Kiev. He was clearly afraid of losing the naval base, and with it Russia's only outlet to the Mediterranean, at a time when NATO was expanding ever closer to its borders. From the perspective of realpolitik this makes perfect sense, just as it makes perfect sense that the US never surrendered its base at Guantanamo Bay after the Cuban Revolution installed a hostile government in that country.

"Also Putin and Russia won't be fighting alone against the West."

That's speculative, but if Russia and China ever decide to tag-team in an offensive war against the West (i.e., instead of merely defending themselves from Western meddling in their geopolitical backyard), the CCP will be too tied up with Taiwan, Japan and possibly also South Korea, Vietnam and the Philippines to send its troops 6000 miles to fight in Europe

Impressive Carney stupidity. Nero fiddles while Rome burns to the ground.

Zelensky will be snorting like a madman.

$2.5 billion CAD could theoretically purchase approximately 55,000 to 184,000 pounds of cocaine, depending on whether it is bought at street or wholesale prices.

So we are the guarantor on a 2.5 billion loan from the IMF, that will never be repaid by the borrower.

This is like co-signing a car loan on a new car for your shitbag alcoholic junky 18 year old cousin, and not buying insurance.

Europe made similar agreements and the condition is Ukraine must win the war. If they lose the war they dont have to pay loan back. Crazy times

Ukraine has a zero chance of winning. From what I have seen, the window for some sort of settlement is closed as well - Russia intends to take this to the end. Then, when Ukraine is completely broken, Russia will dictate the terms. The only question then: Will Russia keep going into Brussels? Because that is where the true cause of this conflict has always been.

@hk45 its all i want for next Christmas but truth be told now that commodities are to purchased using Russian currency and the alt finance system is being established to destroy the untrustworthy reserve currency system of the Euro they wont need to as Brussels handed victory to Russia already

I checked Reddit's r/canada forum to see what the NPCs were saying about this and when someone pointed out the loans would almost certainly never be repaid the response was "yes, but we'll buy a lot of international goodwill with that money!!" If mental gymnastics were an Olympic event Redditors would be winning gold medals left, right, and centre
