More needs to fall into place before Quebec independence is a done deal, but with any luck we may finally see this come to be!!

A lot more needs to fall into place before Quebec independence is a done deal, but with any luck we may finally bring decades of frustrating indecision to a solid conclusion.

But the immolation of the Quebec Liberals only solidifies the likelihood that the Parti Québécois will sweep the province’s 2026 election. Once in power, PQ leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon has promised he will be pulling out all the stops to hold a third referendum on secession from Canada. Quebec’s incumbent government, led by the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) under François Legault, is currently plumbing new depths of unpopularity.

they need to kick the mmmgrants as Chretien seemed to elude with out much evidence that mmmgrants caused the first seperation attempt to fail. Now they have even more mmmmgrants so math says this will fail if he is correct which i assume he is. Perhaps they have learned for mistakes of the past and will protect the vote.

honestly i do hope they separate as Canada is a shit show and we all need to go our own way

I was pretty keen on it happening back in 1995, but alas it wasn't to be. I can't see how "money and the ethnic vote" are going to be less of a factor in deciding the outcome of a referendum than they were 30 years ago
