Investigators with York Regional Police, along with joint-forces operation partners, have made 13 arrests and have dismantled a violent criminal group operating in Ontario and Quebec.

Between April 15, 2024 and March 20, 2025, a series of violent incidents were reported in southern and eastern Ontario, and in Quebec.

Following these incidents, investigators with York Regional Police, Peel Regional Police, Toronto Police Service, London Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police and the Sûreté du Québec launched the joint-forces operation ‘Project Wrangler.’
Investigators identified a number of suspects believed to have been operating a criminal organization.

Through investigation, police learned this group of suspects were responsible for a number of incidents including a murder, attempted murders, an attempted kidnapping, armed carjackings, armed robberies, armed home invasions and more.

A total of six search warrants were executed at five locations from April to December 2025. As a result, a total of 13 people have been arrested and more than 150 charges have been laid. During the investigation, four firearms were also seized.

Two suspects, 24-year-old Trestin Cassanova-Alman, of no fixed address, and 19-year-old Ingram MOHAMED,of the City of Hamilton, are still outstanding. York Regional Police is appealing to the public for any information that may lead to their arrests.
