We all need an escape from the BS sometimes. What games, TV shows, movies, or video games are you watching or playing?

Video games: I don’t have much time for them, but I play The First Descendant sometimes. It’s a free looter-shooter — you really can’t beat it, and it’s fun to hop in and shoot stuff with a few people from time to time. And honestly, the women you can play in the game are sexy, not those trans looking characters you see in a lot of games now. I play it for the gameplay bro

TV Shows: Tulsa King — great show about gangsters. Show even makes fun of woke.

Movies: Frankenstein on Netflix — don’t need to tell you the story of this one, but it’s a great movie. I really enjoyed it and even went to the theatres to see it.

Playing Fallout 4 at the moment, great fun and the quests are seemingly endless in number
 
Tubi has some good tv. It’s got big name stuff and super old movies and terrible low budget crap but also some real unknown gems. It’s my go to for basic tv.

Recently watched First Time Caller on Tubi and thought it was pretty good.

Gaming I am currently back to Banished. It’s a quiet game you can walk away from but if it feels like it, it will kick you in the teeth when you least expect it.

Also been playing the Star Trek Online again. It’s essentially just shoot at stuff, die and respawn with no losses. Absolutely brain dead entertainment if you need that in your life.
 
Landman I’ve got it on my Plex and still need to watch it. From watched all 3 seasons. I just hope it doesn’t turn into another Lost situation where it drags on forever with no answers and they just make up shit at the end.

I need to know about the dude in the yellow suit and why he was walking around during daytime hours when he seemingly killed buddy guy (I forget their names) and why what’s her face buddy’s daughter obviously came from another dimension or time or something… so many questions!

Hubby and I feel like the kid talking about writing a book and changing the story and stuff might be the explanation of it all. Just like we believe stranger things is just the kids playing dungeons and dragons.
 
@Squishybear Remember, they said the daughter was a story-walker, so that was an example of that — she can walk into parts of the story but she can’t change anything that was her from the future. Also, fuck that one house of perverts and freaks; didn’t even care when they got attacked.

Seems to me people are just reliving the story over and over until they finally break the cycle. Its for sure about a story people keep having to relive. They talk about story's way to much.
 
@TOPDAWG I’m not sure they said that she was. I believe it was the brother suggesting that may be a possibility, the jumping around different eras or times if you will, like what if this was someone writing a story and then she got all gung ho about how, why, when and where and then next thing you know you see her but a different version of her trying to save her dad.

I mean did the mother actually get to leave and find victors dad in real life or was that just some illusion?!
 
kids begged me to watch Red One movie on Prime and i decided why the hell not and honestly it was a good choice. I did enjoy the film.

i wish i had time for more but i dont cause of my jerb

kids like Battlefield 6 and honestly it looks like a lot of fun but i havent been able to join in the fun yet. Maybe in the late spring/summer. they are good but not dad good

COD 7 is a pile o garbage avoid

I watched it because people were talking about it. I didn’t mind it. The only thing I didn’t get was how every song the girls did they sounded different each time. But overall, it was fun.
 
I like the old colour Hitchcocks but think screen time is wasted time.
 
I’ve got a TV on my weight bench as I’m getting buff. I even set up a spot for my wife to sit — can’t waste time there. I’m like, ‘Bitch, you’re gonna get the pump while I pump.

I mostly stick to film noirs and classic cinema these days. Stand up too, but that can be really hit or miss.

Alfred Hitchcock Presents is free on a bunch of streaming services and is fantastic (along with most of his films).

Every single episode of Mythbusters is available for free on YouTube.

All in the Family is probably the greatest sitcom ever made if you haven't seen it. You couldn't make it today.
 
All in the family is God level television. Yes Archie's no doubt a racist but they don't make him a bad guy he's just a flawed human being.

Funny how Meathead really did become a meathead in real life though.

Sanford and son is also a really good show if you like more comedies.
 
I have recently put almost 200 hours into No Mans Sky. It's a 10 year old game with no micro transactions or subscription. There's so much to do and endless variety, over 15 quintillion planets to explore in 255 galaxies. People will literally never discover some of the planets in the game. If you like space, exploration and survival games, I can't recommend it enough. It gets updated regularly, and adds new features and stuff all the time. I just got an update for it yesterday.

TV shows: Bluey or The Land Before Time since that is all the little one wants to watch.

Movies: no idea, the last movie I watched was the original Jurassic Park a few weeks ago.

Video games: Played the demo for Dungeons of Weepstone I think it was called. Loved it. Will buy it when it releases. Chained Echoes I just started playing.

Books: Reading The Strength of the Few. Once that is done, going to ram through The Remembrance of Earth's Past by the end of the year. Then buddy reading Malazan next year.
 
I couldn't finish Tulsa King. At some point in the second season, it just felt to much like a soap opera. These days I don't consume much entertainment other than podcasts in the background if I'm driving.
 
The first half of the second season wasn't very good for one thing they were playing up the comedy way too much. The second half it got really good again.
 
Ok hear me out... I really want to read the Bible from beginning to end. Not for the reason you might think though. I have really been getting into ancient Middle East/African societies lately.

The only one I really knew much about was Ancient Egypt but I have been watching docus on Sumer, Assyria, the Hittites, Canaanites, etc.

What really captured my imagination was this nation known as the 'Mitanni'. Their kingdom lasted for three centuries but they were wiped from history, it wasn't until they found ancient royal letters in Egypt (the Amarna letters) and I think some cuneiform tablets maybe in Babylon? (not sure), anyway these documents tell us about the Mitanni. They had a capital, Washukanni. They think they know the general area but they can't find the exact site.

Anyway, the Bible has a unique take on some of these peoples and places, and I wonder what I might pick up now that I know a little bit about these nations and their histories.
 
I decided to revisit Mario Kart Double Dash… that game is actually super fucking difficult.
On the bright side, I’ll be able to kick my friends and family member’s asses with my epic kart skills.

I need to find some movies to watch. I’m going to look at The Terminal, I already saw the madlads video that Count Dankula made about the man who inspired it, so I think it should be interesting.
