Funny fact, Britain abolished slavery before Canada was a thing. They were the first major Western power to do so.

Read Nigel Biggar's book: Colonialism, A Moral Reckoning. He demolishes everything we've been led to believe about the "evils" of British imperialism.

I think the dam is cracking and we're going to be seeing a lot of over-turning of imposed state-led, leftist history. Frances Widdowson's book is also a must-read.

Britain abolished Slavery across the Empire, but by that time it was already gone in Canada, except for what the indians were doing of course. Slavery was ended in Upper Canada in the 1790s. Now that's stuff you don't learn in school anymore.
