HirudineaIf they want to argue any sort of "success" from giving everyone a basic income of $1000 dollars a month, they can already manifest this by lowering income tax by $500 a paycheque.

Now why on earth, if basic income is so successful, why they would oppose lowering the income tax? Those who work minimum wage, in the lowest income bracket, already pay 5 grand a year. Why not remove income tax entirely for the minimum wage workers?

I support this. I would rather have the rest of my paycheck than CCB.

Because of 4 my kids I am getting an extra k a month than I would earn. I do support subsidizing families with kids. But I think income taxes are terrible and the money should come from sales tax, tarrifs, and raw materials ie mineral rights, oil and gas fees somehow. I'm not an economic professional.

Business and the rich or even those slightly well off and maybe even some middle class would just leave the country due to tax increases to pay for this. We pay far far too much and too many taxes as it is and do not get value for them.
