In a ruling today, the top court says although the sentences contribute to the objectives of denunciation and deterrence, they also remove judges’ discretion to impose sentences other than imprisonment when appropriate.

I would be okay with that, if the other punishment would be a trip through a wood chipper. But we're in Canada, so it will be probably two weeks in a healing lodge.

No one should take naked pictures of themselves. It's just stupid and risky, security-wise. The internet is forever.

I know I'm a bit extreme. Kids have no self-control these days. Hasn't changed from when I grew up, just the tech to do stupid stuff increased.
