The left are a bunch of maroons. I hope they bankrupt themselves before Christmas

Smith did nothing wrong. The NDP would never make a deal like the UCP

This happened, sort of, in Ontario and Dougie backed down. What do you think Smith will do if this goes down?

If you watch an interview with her, they were already going to give the teachers most of what they wanted anyway. They agreed to a 12% raise—new teachers would start at $70,000, and experienced ones would earn around $120,000. That’s not bad for working roughly eight months a year, plus getting a pension and incredible benefits. They even planned to hire more teachers and teaching assistants, but the greedy fucks still said no. Smith said they will still talk to them and work with them.

Sorry I can't find the video now. I'll post it if I do.

So fuck them all fire all their asses. Make all schools private.

Find it.

the unions are going against the will of the people. We the voters want what Smith is doing. What they are mad about is the dismantling of the derpstate system in Alberta i.e the climate agenda and the gay

I can give a kid an IPad and they won't be any less educated than a graduate of the current school system (which is a joke)

School was too easy when I was a kid - I can only imagine how dumbed down it is now. I heard the Grade 9 departmental exams were replaced with 'Please write your name legibly' and 20% of the class still flunked.

School is dumbed down so the bottom quartile can pass and get through. Now the bottom quartile doesn’t speak English and the teachers are reduced to baby sitting them while trying to deal with the rest of the class .

They are openly calling to bring down the government. This action has nothing to do with anything other then it is an insurrection / coup. Most likely this is being backed by Mark Carney and the feds as well as foreign interests as they hate Alberta.

I'm getting a little sick and tired of hearing about striking teachers, anyone else?

I occasionally work in a school environment and it's nothing but "land acknowledgment" bullshit and fag flags all over the place. They flew one in equal standing to our province's flag last year, and it stayed up well past June. They even flew one on the outside of the building, even installed a new flagpole to do it, while the rest of the facility is a decaying ruin.

If that's all the tax money they steal from me is buying our children, then let them fucking strike forever.

all unions are doing this

i want them all to be fired or ruined

@Trudeaus coke dealer indeed

We had a guy come to work with one contact in, driving forklift high as a kite and knock down 125 000 dollars of racks in our warehouse. Caused massive damage. The Teamsters fought and fought to keep him employed and won.

Guy did even more damage again and again. Same Teamsters kept him employed.

The insurance company dumped us overtime as our accidents were to expensive. Had to find another insurance company that cost a lot more money.

I loath unions

Please explain to me why the public is obligated to do business with these unions.

So teachers refuse to address that by being maximum inclusive they have created classrooms filled with kids that don’t speak English, are 70 IQ retards, and kids prone to emotional and physical outbursts resulting in an unsafe work place. They hide this all by saying they have complex classrooms and too many kids.

So the solution they propose is to throw even more money at the problem, and are calling in the other unions to strike and shut down government operations.

Also

Boo hoo the teachers have to go back to work and start collecting a pay cheque again. Too bad the union they pay $1800 a year into didn’t have the funds to issue strike pay for them. Wouldn’t it be a shame if other unions force their members out on strike and they don’t get paid either, because their unions also squandered their money on failing to get Rachel Notley elected premier a second time.
