Trump announces additional 10-per-cent tariff on Canada over Ontario ad

I hear BC still has an ad they want to run.

FAFO Leafs!

Anyone old enough to remember big discussions in Canada in 1987 prior to signing NAFTA? Concerns Canada would become a vassal state?

So if these new tariffs destroy the economy and unemployment rises to 15%, how many millions of Indians should we import next year?

Good video. One of Trump’s staffers said it felt too much like working with Justin Trudeau—yeah, no surprise, it’s the same people. And that clip of Trump saying, “I saw the ad, I’d do the same thing”—so he was fine with it before, then suddenly had a problem later? Something definitely went down behind the scenes.

Trump’s using this as an excuse to get as much attention as possible. Also, why are people saying the ad cost $75 million? That figure must include the ad buy itself—or at least I hope so, because no single ad should cost that much to make.

Of course Carney is blaming Ford, hell he's not going to take responsibility for any failures.

Carney confirmed he hasn’t spoken with Trump since the fallout, telling reporters to “take the President at his word” when asked if Doug Ford’s ad is the reason the President broke off trade talks.

Marc is joined by former Liberal MP Dan McTeague, who says a trade deal was nearly finalized before the ad scandal derailed it. McTeague calls the situation “a fumbled deal on the half-yard line,” blaming arrogance and mismanagement inside the Carney government.

These complete bozos.

They thought they had a winning move to influence the Supreme court justices decision on Tariffs. They didnt think Trump would do anything. Now its war. Trump always hits back ten times harder. Fafo

Ford is claiming that the ad was successful.

Can we see the success or measure it?

No

So what the hell ever happened to inter provincial trade anyway? You'd think Canada could at least control that or do better there.

Fixing interprovincial trade barriers would pull money and power away from Ontario and Quebec. So that was all talk.

Yeah, it was funny when they first started talking about it Quebec was saying they’re being treated the most unfairly. Meanwhile, they don’t exactly give much back to the rest of Canada.

It’s like having a girlfriend who doesn’t work and sits at home all day, then tells you that you need to get another job on top of the three you already have. She is like Quebec to ugly annoying and won't STFU.
