Ezhil Natarajan, who is franchise owner of the store in the suburb of Etobicoke, remains under investigation by provincial authorities for allegedly exploiting foreign workers.

Separately, a recruiter used by Natarajan, Allison Jones Consulting Services Inc., was fined $165,000 by Ontario’s Ministry of Labour in June 2025 for illegally charging foreign workers placement fees. Pailan paid over $10,000 to the recruiter to secure his position at the Canadian Tire store. In response to these issues, Canadian Tire changed its internal hiring policy in 2024 to prohibit franchisees from using recruiters who charge fees to temporary foreign workers.

"Temporary" Foreign Workers have to pay a recruiter to get a job in Canada, plus the recruiter gets paid by the customer and the Government. What a scam they have going.

Our immigration system is being scammed in every way imaginable. They are flooding the zone.

Imagine being stupid enough to pay $10000 to work at Canadian Tire?

I guess the Jeets will do anything to get into Canada.
