With the Air Canada back-to-work BS and the workers saying “go fuck yourself,” it’s just one more on the pile. Lots of talk, no action. The tariffs are still here and looking worse than ever. The immigration mess is something we can’t get a straight answer on. How long before Canadians pull their heads out of their asses and admit, “Well damn, we’re fucking retarded and we fucked up.”

As long as the potato chips, SUV's, McMansions, weed, booze and Netflix are still flowing, nobody cares about what's going on around them (until it hits them directly).

Even then, as it's hitting more people now (with those things becoming more expensive), still they stick their heads in the sand. It just hasn't gotten bad enough, for enough people yet.

Covid woke my ass up. I never liked government or people in general before but that shit turned me into a fucking militant when it came to that stuff.

Some people were saying after covid people let fear get a hold of them and you should forgive and I'm like no that's who they are you saw that real person. Now with this fucking fire shit all that crap is coming back do this for everyone safety you're just being self-centered.

And the older they get the more their own family will grow smaller and the more their neighbours will be sojourners or downright foreigners. Unfortunately, many things are realized far too late for practical solutions to be enacted, but just in time to realize the scale of the error so they can live with some part of it until their dying day. Life is short but consequences are timely.
 
Even poor people live relatively well in Canada, we're going to need some real pain before the masses get off their asses, and I don't know if we'll see it. Can the government manage the decline with migrants and bullshit? I just don't know.
