Currently reading the collected stories of Anton Chekhov (which are excellent, but rather depressing on the whole because they suggest that there is no earthly cure for human folly) and just getting into re-reading the poetry of John Milton -- which I used to find incredibly stuffy and boring 35 years ago, but now seems like a refreshing antidote to modern pop culture; maybe it's an acquired old man taste, like sardines or the music of Bach

Currently re-reading The Farseer Trilogy. Haven't read it since high school and thought I would go through it quickly. Just finished Shroud by Adrian Tchaikovsky.

Next up is likely the Sun Eater Saga by Christopher Ruocchio. Off chance I start Malazan instead.

Leaning towards Sun Eater though.

I’m currently reading The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. For those unfamiliar, it is essentially fictional conspiratorial letters from the devil, detailing the best ways to corrupt a man and win his soul. Interesting stuff.

I'm staying in Italy and slowly reading an Italian translation of a book, originally in English, that is banned for importation into Canada. So an actual banned book, not one of those "banned books" you can see displayed at your bookstore every once in a while.

I ordered it online here and picked it up the next day at one of the major chain bookstores here.

If only their bureaucracy was this efficient and sane...

Che cos'é?
