Teddy Bears' Picnic now illegal in Nova Scotia

"Premier Tim Houston says Nova Scotians will be advised to “stay out of the woods” as of 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Travel will be restricted and activities the province has not deemed necessary will be banned.
Hiking, camping, fishing and the use of vehicles in the woods are not permitted and trail systems through woods are off limits."

The fine for taking a simple stroll through a forest trail is $25,000, presumably because of the risk of spontaneous human combustion. But the premier did graciously say that people can still walk around on their own property, so that's nice.

This just shows that Nova Scotia has a different culture and belongs in a different country compared to Western Canada. Once the west separates, they can do whatever crazy sht they want over there, and serve as a warning to the rest of the world what not to do. Firesmoke.ca is showing no fires in Nova Scotia.

It's a bit more complicated than that. Half the population lives in the Halifax area, so they are subject to the same mind viruses that plague urbanites in places like Edmonton and Calgary. The small-town/rural half of the province is largely unpoliced, hillbillyish and notoriously "racist" (at least in the eyes of outsiders). You can guess which half gets to write the laws

As a former Alberta Wildfire Ranger trained in the Maritimes, who among other things enforced area closures - I assure you, you have no idea what you’re talking about and should know you’re embarrassing yourself.

BC has done this before. They closed all parks/paths. Claiming a fire risk. It's peak authoritarian overreach. But... It's also concrete proof that 90+% of wildfires are human caused. Stop the arsonists from entering the woods and "Climate Change" no longer exists.

They ended up confirming that Climate Change is bullshit.

Seems more of an exercise of control than a fear of 'wildfire'.

Does this not infringe on the right to travel or freedom of movement as per the shit stained Charter of rights and Reeeedoms.

Yes, but so did erecting concrete barriers and police checkpoints between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick during the Covid hysteria. Nobody was ever held accountable for that, either

Whether these colossal fines would stand up to a court challenge is another matter, but either way the purpose of intimidation will have been achieved

What's wrong with just a fire ban? I've walked in the crispy dry pine forest before but luckily my footprints didn't create too much friction and leave a trail of fire behind me.
My second question is, were people ever banned from being outside in the forest before 2020? Government at all levels is jonesing for that covid power back.

Apparently they did issue a similar ban in NS some years ago (I don't remember the first time it happened) but back then the fine was only $180

Can't enjoy your own country because of retarded brownoids.
Instead of just getting rid of these mindless jeets we need blanket bans on Canadians.

"Don't start fires. please."
"SAAR I SHIT ON BEACH AND THROW TRASH IN PARKS I POACH FISH I RENOVATE WITHOUT PERMITS DO NOT TELL ME WHAT TO DO LISTENING TO YOU IS SLAVE MENTALITY I AM BRAHMAN SAAR ARYAN SAAR"

It also includes private property too. Like wtf?

I'm getting a mild case of post-Covid PTSD from all this. I only just stopped hating people for being easily programmable rat weasels and now it looks as if I'm going to relapse

Supposed justification is that because fire resources are stretched thin, if a fire starts, you may be trapped. Still total tyrannical garbage by a criminal, douchebag premier.

If the government wants to come out and say "hey, be careful, here are some tips to not get trapped", I'd be fine with that. Just like I wouldn't care if it was a notice for an incoming tornado or hurricane. But a total movement ban? This guy has to be out of his fucking mind and should be jailed.
