The Peel region sounds like a terrible place to live. They've been absolutely culturally enriched. Hosting a press conference every week lately. I feel bad for the Peel Police.

I have friends in Mississauga who say that parts of the city have declined precipitously in the past ten years. An ex has told me her parents want to sell in Caledon for the same reason, as a lot of "diversity" has seeped its way out of Brampton.

North of QEW is a shithole. Also Mississauga is very poorly managed. We should be nickle and diming the busiest airport in the country. Instead, crazy high property tax to fund the abomination MiWay is, when every homeowner has a CAR.

And don't get me started on the LRT which will bus Pajeets straight from Shopper's World into Port Credit... and filling-in the historic marina for jeet hive condos.

Those Miway fancy bus stations are ghost towns. And the busses have their own little road system that's barren while you sit in bumper to bumper traffic. They really hate car drivers.

Peel police really can't afford to monkey around!

@ovarieasy: I recall that quite a few members of the Peel Police back in the 1980s were ex-Royal Ulster Constabulary men from Northern Ireland, where (by a strange coincidence) coppers are usually referred to as "peelers" -- both names coming from the same man, Sir Robert Peel (1788-1850)

I spent a couple months on rotation into Toronto and its the most desolate demoralized shit hole I have ever witnessed. What a absolute fucking nightmare.

T.O. is definitely globohomo central. I didn't even think much of it back in the 80s when it was still majority white and very prosperous -- it just seemed like most Torontonians were obsessed with status and money to the point that they were awful and tedious human beings. That said, they weren't as insane about politics as they are now, probably because they needed something else to feel sanctimonious about once the prosperity started to vanish
