That white guy who can't get a job at Tim Hortons? He's AI

A series of AI-generated videos that show a white man complaining about how difficult it is to get a job in Canada have been taken down by TikTok, following inquiries made by the CBC News Visual Investigations team.

The social media platform says the videos violated its community guidelines, because it wasn't clear enough that they were made with AI.

Most of the videos feature what looks like a white man in his 20s named "Josh," who speaks to the camera and makes racially charged statements about immigrants and their role in the job market. In fact, "Josh" is created by AI and doesn't exist.
Glad CBC cleared this up, because extremist content I read online and my own lying eyes had convinced me Canada has taken in too many immigrants.

So, they used this channel, that uses AI to make it's point, to imply that all instances of complaints about jeets taking jobs from Canadians are not real? Top notch work, CBC.
So from now on if I find a single instance of a group I don't like doing something negative, I'll apply it to them all without a single worry. The CBC has taught me this is fine. The only change I'll me making it not only applying it to straight white males.

Interestingly enough the AI was generated by a non-white guy, so there may have been an even larger agenda at play here: it's possible that he was encouraged to make the video in the first place so that the CBC could cover it for the sake of propaganda. Still deeply Orwellian either way, of course ("if you see all-Indian staff at Tim Hortons, it's because you've fallen for racist disinformation")

Wait... White guys are becoming so hard to find in Canada that they are starting to generate them with A.I.?
