Teen charged in horrific attack on Ontario child police initially attributed to an animal

A 17-year-old teen has been charged with attempted murder and sexual assault with a weapon of a person under 16 years old in an attack on a child police had initially suspected was from an animal, the Ontario Provincial Police say.

An eight-year-old girl was reported missing on June 23, in Quadeville, southeast of Barry’s Bay and about 170 km away from Ottawa.

She was found shortly after midnight the following morning with life-threatening injuries. Police said Thursday it was a “miracle” she has survived.

At the time, police had warned parents near the rural eastern Ontario town to “keep children indoors or under close supervision.”
Quadeville, Ont. is located about 170 kilometres away from Ottawa.

“While early evidence suggested a possible animal attack, investigators did not rule out human involvement,” Ontario Provincial Police said in a Wednesday media release.

“While the incident is still under investigation, recent testing of samples taken from the victim’s wounds has now revealed no traces of animal DNA.”

The young girl remains under medical care.

Police say the 17-year-old suspect, who cannot be legally identified because he is a minor, was arrested and charged on Tuesday and remains in custody pending a court appearance.

Police have scheduled a town hall meeting in Quadeville for Saturday, July 12, to address questions and concerns from the community. Details of the time and place of the event have yet to be determined.

Testing the wounds for animal DNA? Sexual assault, but thought it was an animal attack?
How did they find the minor suspect so quickly after checking for DNA?

Did you know DNA samples are requested by IRCC when there is insufficient documentation or any question of parentage? Also as part of the family reunification program?

Note: After submitting your application, IRCC might request a DNA test to confirm parentage. IRCC will also provide a list of accredited laboratories to complete the DNA test. In these cases, DNA results must have an accuracy of 99.8% or higher.
request additional supporting documentation, up to and including DNA to confirm parentage, if we’re not satisfied with the documentation on file.
An applicant or dependent must make every reasonable attempt to provide satisfactory documentary evidence to confirm a relationship. If they are unable to do so, an officer can counsel them that they have the option to undergo DNA testing at their expense.

So they were correct, it was an animal attack. But was it a jeet or a lightbulb head?
My guess is this is the result of one of the many little churches nearby sponsoring a family of thirdies to come over.

Yeah because that's totally normal behaviour. (Unless its a 'cougar' 8-))

If I were attacked by a bear or something, i am sure it would try to play with my genitals first as opposed to just tearing me apart.

Well since he's a minor the most he could get is 3 years, and that would be for murder, so I say he'll be out of jail before the kid he fucked up (and maybe fucked) is out of the hospital. I think it's time we bring back drawing and quartering, but not the hanging, this guy deserves to enjoy the entire procedure fully conscious.
