Checked the /r/canada thread on it. It's the fault of, in any partilcular order: Trump, tarriffs, lil' PP, Stephen Harper, or white racists.

It's because if it weren't for Trump, Harper, tariffs and conservatives then Canada would have 10% GDP growth under liberal policies, obviously. One day the conservatives will finally stop harming Canada so we can get solid economic growth.

Canada's GDP growth over the last 5 years has 100% been funded by government debt; however, Canada is close to a debt crisis and the government has to dial back the debt it's taking on which is leading to economic contractions.
Remember folks... this is despite the governments efforts over the last 5 years to import minimum wage spenders to buy goods. How many Domino's pizzas have opened up in your town over this past 5 years? How is the economy possibly shrinking when chains have been expanding into every single town in Canada?
