Well, look, we’re living in a new world, and it’s time to face facts. Not like the kids are ever gonna get in this market anyway, right? Home prices are insane, so let’s not pretend they’ve got a future like we did. The next generation’s gonna be dealing with issues we couldn’t even imagine, and if that means we have to make some tough decisions, then so be it. We need to make way for the Indians—they’re coming in, buying property, and keeping the market moving. That’s the reality, and we need to look at things like MAID for minors as part of it.

Like Gord Downie would say, “It’s just another day in Bobcaygeon.” That’s the truth. We’ve got a system that’s been slow to evolve, and it’s time we let the young folks take control of their own destiny, especially when they're suffering and don't see any way out. Kids these days—I've seen it—are dealing with mental health crises, bullying, online harassment, and all kinds of things we never even had to worry about. So, if a mature minor, a kid who's been through the ringer and knows the stakes, decides they want out, who are we to say no? Their lives are already difficult, and who are we to deny them some semblance of control over their own fate?

It’s the right thing to do—let's not let our own outdated beliefs stop progress, folks.

Sounds like government sanctioned organ harvesting to me. I would think the organs of a young, physically healthy person would fetch a premium, as opposed to some older junkie.
 
I question if the person would even be dead before leaving the physician... considering they paralyze them via injection before "killing" them.

That info came out years ago. The butchers are in the next room. You are being carved up and harvested within 12 minutes of the FIRST injection. No, you aren't dead.

I'm sure you are correct here. It's most likely an opt out policy. Similar to how the province of Nova Scotia made organ donation compulsory for the entire population, but you could opt out.

No shit, you make everyone a donor without the their consent. Then they have to file the paperwork to "Opt-Out". That's extra steps, people don't like extra steps.

Continuing to bizarrely invert reality, the pamphlet states, “Hopelessness and a desire to end one’s life can be a symptom of some mental illnesses,” before promoting suicide as faster alternative than waiting for medical treatments.

Essentially, the Canadian health care system is so screwed that the government is telling citizens they can sign up for medical suicide quicker than they can get the help they need.


“One in 10 people will wait more than 4 months for counselling. The waiting period for MAID is only 3 months. We are already hearing about people asking for MAID because they do not have the support needed to live,” the document reads.

I fear what's next is "'mature' minors can consent to sex with an adult". If they can consent to medical procedures up to and including state sponsored suicide, what can't the consent to?
