Do women in Canada feel safe walking around?

Sure I feel safe - as long as I wear my bulky jacket/sweatpants/hiking boots, carry a screwdriver in my pocket, walk around with my hood up, and a serious "don't mess with me or I'll mess you up" face

Long gone are the days when women could wear nice (modest and feminine) clothes without worrying about being assaulted or r*ped by some foreigner/illegal immigrant. A couple times I actually put in effort when I went out - I let my hair down, wore a very conservative but nice outfit - I think it was a black turtleneck+ leather knee-length coat+ black jeans. And I swear someone still catcalled me or made some creepy remark

With the influx of indians, (specifically those who don't care to assimilate into "Canadian culture"), it is a bit concerning. And I even notice people pitching tents right beside public hiking trails. It's probably the odd homeless guy, but you never know....so I'm certainly more cautious nowadays

I wasn't sure if you mean literally or if there was a sexual emergency. :D

No literally. There was someone who put up a tent right beside a trail. And then they just leave their garbage in the woods once they move somewhere else
There are also parts of a tent + random supplies in a different location in the woods that have been there for over a year...

Last week I saw on Gab or Twitter about a women being harassed and assaulted in downtown Ottawa by a migrant and everyone just stood around and for the life of me can not find it and it also mentioned lame stream media never reported on it.

That will not go over well if I ever see something like that.
I have always and will always act in accordance with the virtues of the warrior.
I do not expect anything but the knowledge I did right thing. I seen the sheep you talking about.
I helped older lady cross high traffic road by stopping the traffic. I was 22 and wearing a patch.
The balls are shrinking in this country.
Few have it,most do not.

Women straight up should have a male chaperone in public.

Like the muslim world ?, I disagree. If a lady or kid can not be safe at all times in their own country there is something wrong with that country and men need to stand and fix.
I get what you say but that would be a very sad state of affaires.
Is this really where we are

@Patch63 I think you are oversimplifying this - 30 years ago most places in the West were much safer to walk at night.

Does that mean there was ZERO crime? No - utopia is impossible.

However the change is more than significant, and before we start holding the victims accountable for what they are wearing, maybe we should hold the perps accountable via capital punishment.
