Changing British Columbia's Declaration on the Rights of Aboriginal Peoples Act is "non-negotiable" and it will be pushed into law, Premier David Eby said on Wednesday.

"We are working with chiefs to try to find a path forward," Eby said at an unrelated news conference in Victoria. "We have to do it, and we will do it."

Eby's statement comes ahead of his meeting with First Nations leaders on Thursday to discuss the amendments to the so-called DRIPA legislation, which was cited by First Nations in two landmark cases last year.

Never expected BC to be the first pro-White province.

Indians = big mad as well as MSM and the woke

The betrayal was not to the Indians but to the citizens of BC. The correct action is to get rid of UNDRIP and DRIPA as it should never have been adopted and Eby is a traitor as are the Judges. Now the harm is done and people will remember even if Eby thinks he can legislate this away.

"and people will remember"

Well even the cowardly leftitsts will vote against complete native takeover when they're alone in the voting booth. I'd also be very curious to find out native voting statistics. Guessing they're pretty dire.

Natives are out of allies at this point. When a white person sees a jeet/black security guard wrestling with a native thief, they just hope each person hurts the other as badly as possible.

We ended the endless and now they want to bring it back. My uncle is RCMP and what he sees on their reserves has made him bat shit crazy with disgust. I feel for him as he really isnt well mentally. Its not his fault as the stories he tells us would make your blood boil. If Indians get more land and can enact their laws and systems people will suffer a level of hell they have never witnessed or fathom

I’ve never seen but read of all the common stories on reserves. I take it that is partly a side-effect of losing their tradition territories, being forced to live on reserves and their leaders being surveilled. Doesn’t Pierre Poilievre like to say "If you cannot trust a man to govern himself, how can you trust him to govern for others?"

To be fair rcmp constantly spend their days seeing the worst people of society.

@PalidMuffin or it is how they have always been. Dont assume its cause of they stole my land issues. Whites have had it just as hard and have made civilization as it is. Cry me a fooking river i am a victim garbage. Everyone is a victim.

My family swung from their own fruit trees by their necks till dead. Everything stolen anything living murdered. Came here to Canada and no one would take them in in minus 60 degree weather dead winter. They made a house in the dirt with their bare hands and climbed out of it in the spring fighting sickness and all sorts of health issues. They settled some land. Settled some more and now we are everywhere all over Alberta. People here i guarantee if you ate beef it most likely came from one of my family members, you got stopped by a RCMP its one if my family members, treated in a hospital its its was by one of my family members, we are in everywhere now in all types of careers, industry and even forged new technologies that the world uses everyday etc etc

Cry me a fooking river if u arent surviving in Alberta or Canada. Why the fook not?

Hell we are all over the USA as well. All cause we never were victims. Bad shit happened yep but that is how it is. We wont / dont play that game. Neither should the Indians of Canada. Get off your ass. Its rough indeed but anyone can do it no matter the scenario or odds against you if u have the will and away. I aint got pity for the drama stuff.

That’s what I wanted to hear. We all bear our cross, some with less complaining than others. If only men could forgive each other after like 50 years and stop bitching about old quarrels

I’m reminded of some Marxist/Irish saying I read such as “What a misfortune it is for a nation to have subjugated another” or “If you strike at, imprison, or kill us, out of our prisons or graves we will still evoke a spirit that will thwart you”

That about captures how most Native Americans have already made up their mind to resist until the bitter end. I’ve tried chatting on Indigenous boards online but when I mention Jesus Christ it’s like their demons start manifesting lol

@PalidMuffin

Yup it sux but look what God did for my family. We are thousands. We are everywhere. If we decided all we wanted was to be victims then none of what we drive in Alberta would get done. Today we remember not because we dwell on it but to look at what we were able to achieve since.

Some would argue that my family was destroyed and all that they had and their very lives were taken. Why would God do this? Who are we to Judge? Those who survived continued on not judging and just survived. Now i think it is obvious why. Gods ways are not ours. Perhaps if they had eyes they would see why some prevail from tragedy while others dont. So many victims are out there now without understanding what true suffering is like. All i know is what works time and time again. Our house is built on a rock and others should do the same. God first everything second.
