Toronto Paramedics tell CityNews they arrived at Pearson at 7 a.m. on Thursday. Police later confirmed a man had been shot.

The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) said Peel Regional Police officers were called to Terminal 1 at Toronto Pearson International Airport at around 7 a.m. to assist a distressed man in his SUV. The province’s police watchdog said early indications are that the man produced a firearm, leading to officers discharging their guns. The 30-year-old male victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
