UPDATE: The day after we attempted to begin clean-up of the kill pen at Universal Ostrich Farms, CFIA sent an e-mail stating the quarantine is still in effect, after 7 months, and we could face fines or PROSECUTION if we continue.
I have found live ammunition left behind and there is now concerns of fire starting as the bales dry. A fire poses risks to the property here as well as adjoining properties and the entire Valley
The government won't clean up their mess, they won't allow anyone else to clean it up, the family is forced to look at it everyday and if anyone tries to help they will be prosecuted.
They expect the family to implement biosecurity protocols that they never followed themselves.
None of this is about safety!
