On Friday, Durham Regional Police Service announced a massive bust targeting crime tourists. Ironically called Project Jetsetter, cops say they connected more than 200 different incidents to the Romanian organized crime network.
The gang — men, women, young, old, nearly all Romanian — racked up more than $2.6 million in losses (in Durham alone). Forty-six people have been arrested and face a staggering 1,442 total criminal charges coupled with 164 arrest warrants for thieves still wanted by the police.
