Owning the Americans lead to frostbite of Canadian soldiers

While I wasn't in the CAF, I worked a job where we went out in all weather conditions. The cold weather guidelines for SK are that all non-emergency work stops a -52C. I have been working outside several times at that temp. It wasn't fun and was actually a lot of work because pumps and other things would freeze up and you had to keep them going in order to get the job done. Cold like that is hard on everything, men and machines. Most hydraulic lines that I saw blow on excavators were in the extreme cold.

This article reminds me of one time where an acting supervisor sent us out to do a job that didn't need to be done in -49C. The only reason we didn't do anything that day was because we needed utilities located and the utility companies were smart enough to not send their guys out to do the locates in those conditions. Small dick, big attitude fuckers shouldn't be supervisors. Or, generals.
