Community league in south Edmonton undermanned, faces closure if it can’t recruit more volunteers
A community league in south Edmonton is trying to drum up interest among neighbours to join its undermanned board. If it can’t, the King Edward Park Community League might have to shut down, its vice-president says.
FYI Edmontonians in the Southside. I recommend saving this community league but then again i volunteered for years at mine and saw how corrupt and woke it became and left when i demanded proper of accounting of the handling of money and the other members refused to use proper accounting and procedures.
Also the EFCL is as corrupt and as woke as ever so maybe closing leagues is a good idea.
Community Leagues are very powerful when used correctly however and as a president and board you can control negative municipal policies i.e zoning/bylaw and make neccessary changes quickly that affect the community using municipal resources as well as police / other
Keeping the woke left away from these boards is essential however as well as those that simply desire power to abuse that power
This is the 3rd one to be shutdown. My area we have a very active one which is good and bad. At least the maintain the outdoor rink
