I was in a Korean place with the Mrs, enjoying some shabu-shabu late in October '24. Little neighbourhood place in a strip mall run by a bunch of aunties, not a fancy-shmancy trendy joint full of poseurs.

In the midst of supping on our dinner, a bunch of jeets show up in the parking lot of said strip mall with fireworks, lo and behold it's Diwali. They start lighting the shit off, making a lot of annoying noise, and the aunties weren't having it. They go flying out the door and lay a tongue-lashing on those jeets that they'll never forget. Off they went, and peace was restored.

Whenever I hear someone talking about "docile, submissive" Asian women, I laugh to myself.

Hyundai tried to open a plant here (in Quebec) way back in the 80's when they first brought the Pony here. It didn't go well for them. I wonder what they will do different this time, to cover their asses?
