Opinion: I for one welcome our new Chinese trade partners

DripDrop

Big frenly fren. Much wow!
I am recently seeing an uptick in these types of leftist-communism propaganda pieces, but only in small BC community news.
Anyone else seeing this in their area?
But as the United States looks increasingly unstable with civil unrest and growing aggression towards other countries including Canada, I, for one, am happy to open the door to look at other options.

That doesn’t mean I am ignorant of the concerns about China.

Anybody doing business with China deserves every bad thing that happens to them.

Never mind the leaded baby formula you traitor! Orange man bad!!!

I thought that was melamine?

All these wannabe communists, socialists, leftists etc should be sent to China, North Korea, Cuba etc to see what Communism is really like. Work for the common good, no wrong think when it comes to talking about government and if you do you will disappear to the gulag or via a bullet to the head in a show trial, even bread lines, cheap poorly insulated apartments, social credit etc....

These losers that think communism/socialism is the cats meow are mentally retarded. Look at how the economies were destroyed in Venezuela and Cuba plus lack of food etc. Plus they are all totalitarian....

Good to see some common sense diplomacy, its a refreshing change of pace from these past couple years. China seems to be treating their partners with a little (A LOT!) more decency than their American counterparts. Canada is poised to become a superpower if Carney can keep making good leadership decisions

Yes, I'm sure a country run by a party that venerates history's greatest mass murderer (Mao), has brutally colonized Tibet and Xinjiang, practices slave labour and organ harvesting, and runs a dystopian regime of surveillance and censorship would make a much better partner for Canada than the culturally similar and far less totalitarian country right next door to us
