Prime Minister Mark Carney publicly welcomed Nova Scotia MP Chris d’Entremont to his Liberal caucus Wednesday morning, thanking him for his decision to cross the floor, bringing the minority government one vote closer to a majority.

I honestly expected this to happen shortly after the last election. Guess they wanted to wait until it was necessary.
 
Which begs the question, was this scumbag ever really a conservative or just an infiltrator waiting to make a move? Or, just a greedy fuck who took a payoff? And,there may be more? I wonder how much of our money it takes to get someone to cross the floor? They aren't doing it because of their principles. I know it will never happen but, the rules need to change. Crossing the floor to another party should trigger an immediate by-election. The people that voted him in as a conservative should be pissed.

FLOOR CROSSER CONTEXT: One year ago, I invited MP Chris d’Entremont constituents to appear before the Fisheries Committee to speak to the orgy of violence going on his community. I did this because Chris could not speak publicly as Deputy Speaker and he asked me to help.

Appearing anonymously, his constituents shared accounts of how they’ve become terrorized by gunfire targeting their homes, violent assaults carried out in broad daylight, and homes being demolished by heavy machinery in what they described as calculated acts of intimidation.

This violence was the result of unchecked liberal soft-on-crime policies and an outright refusal by the liberal government to enforce illegal fishing in Southwest Nova Scotia.

Today – these problems have only gotten worse.

Illegal fishing gangs continue to terrorize legal fishermen with extortion, on the water gun violence, and death threats.

Yesterday – Chris turned his back on his constituents.

He sided with a government that has done nothing to stop the illegal poaching going on his community that has created an orgy of violence in his community while simultaneously placing thousands of their livelihoods at risk.

It's almost like voting doesn't matter and the political class will do whatever is needed to advance the agenda given to them.

Don't be surprised when Carney gets a majority without an election.

Anyways, So the guy who wants to break the country apart is calling me a leftist? Okay big rig say if Alberta separated where’s your deep water port for oil shipments? So what would you call your self? Importing of foreigners will still happen, since it will be the same government just no longer part of Canada. Nothing changes everything still continues to get worse and worse since the root of the problem has not been solved. But I’m sure you thought ahead and got the answers for all that. Also the federal govt would push through the courts for the natives to have that land “returned” to them just like what is happening in BC before they let Alberta separate. And assuming everyone who disagrees with you or makes fun of your dick sucking problem, I get it it’s probably hard to fit 3 in at one time but keep trying man your the champ, is a leftist going to be hard to make friends with similar goals

Unlike you I am a nationalist who would rather not see this country tore apart but hope to find a way forward since we are weaker when separated. As much as I hate being the defeatist, at this point maybe just let the Liberals have their majority. At least that way it'll accelerate this country's decline so it can crash and burn. The dumbshits in Toronto and Montreal deserve whatever's coming to them. Boomers can get fucked once this govt starts garnishing their pensions and taxing the unrealized gains on their homes.

I kind of want that—and kind of don’t. Yeah, the assholes I don’t like would suffer, but so would a lot of good people. I still want things to get better, even if it takes baby steps. I’m not going to BS here—I’m doing fine and will keep doing fine. I could pay off my house right now if I wanted. Our household income is solid, my wife’s job is pretty safe, and mine’s rock solid since I work for a law office. Those guys are making bank and will keep doing so since their clients are loaded. Plus, I’d free up another $1,800 a month if I paid off the house.


If it ever came down to it, I could sell everything and move to the States—my wife’s green card is in the final stages, so that’s an option if we really needed it. She’s ready to say “screw it” and go. Even if the Canadian economy burns to the ground, it wouldn’t affect me much—but the freedoms we’ll lose if the Liberals get to do whatever they want? I don’t want to stick around for that.


I like Alberta, but I just don’t see people voting to leave. They want that so called free healthcare and free government BS. You’ve got to find a way to do the best you can and stay as happy as possible.

They’re still two seats short, and I don’t think they’ll get there with Carney running the same “Trump bad” routine again. He knew weeks ago that this guy was going to cross the floor, and now he’s slipping right back into campaign mode.
 
I hear you. We only moved to Alberta a few years ago, but we love it here. We don't plan on moving for the foreseeable future, Liberal govt or not, and we're doing pretty good financially as well.

What pisses me off about this is how boomers and 2 cities in this country essentially have all the power because they only give a shit about their pensions, houses and handouts all the while jeets and muslims continue to invade the country.

This is why I hope those voting groups get fucked over by them voting in the liberals. They're a major reason this country is turning to shit so they need to feel it a much as everyone else.

For what it's worth, I honestly don't think Alberta separation is a good idea either, at least not at the moment. At the very least, Alberta having its own pension plan separate from the CPP is something well within the province's control and could still serve as a massive fuck you to the boomers who voted for the liberals.
