Alberta Teachers should never return to work. Smith needs to fire them all and never let them back.

Everyone i know is relieved and happy the teachers cant teach their kids. We all hope they all get fired or face hardships that drag em through hell and back. Horror stories are piling up about what the teachers actually do which isnt much

the media will make it seem like the teachers are suffering but they arent. Teachers will most likely get back pay if they go back but who knows.

Smith better rope em all then give em a deal as they dont deserve a deal

You can't tell me that you can't learn most subject up to a Grade 12 level online.

If we REALLY cared about the kids and not the workers, it would be far easier to pay the top English, Math, Social Studies, etc etc teachers to record a series of lessons for each subject.

Once the lessons are available online, then countless kids will be able to take part.

Doesn't it seem kind of stupid to have a human regurgitate the same information year after year to a new audience when it just could be recorded once?

Idea: Expand the homeschooling program at the expense of the public teachers union.

You want smaller class sizes? Boom. The class is just now your siblings.

You want fewer predators in school? Another advantage to having a parent teach them.

You miss social interaction? Government could probably offer money for social clubs/sports/etc for the kids and probably still cost way less.

Parents can be given access to the online videos so the kids can review the lessons with the parent's support.

The chances of the parents being interested in their kids' schooling is far higher than that of some government worker. (and yes I know there are a lot of shitty parents out there)
 
Not a chance. There will be blood in the streets if parents don't get their state funded babysitters for their rotten bastard children. See: Sask about a year ago.

I don't even know what the hell they're bitching about. I think they were all going to get a 12% rease over 3 years a fucking guaranteed rate over 3 years no matter what your performance is sounds pretty sweet to me. You get three fucking months off a year they're probably all at least making 80 g plus year I would assume.

They want lower class sizes so they want to do less work but yet they want their pay to go up at the same time that's not how that works. It's not like teachers even work 1 on 1 with kids anyway so what difference does it make how big the fucking classroom is.

They got insanely great pensions great medical coverage. You still have fucking assholes saying they deserve more well that's fine if you have a kid going to school you can fucking pay more taxes.

Nobody's pay is keeping up with inflation cuz stupid fucking teachers vote liberal an NDP all the time.


Fuck all public sector workers fire every one of them tand make it all private.
