Titanium Dioxide - causes renal failure

glad to see this removed as my kids will ignore my warnings on this and eat candy with this in it

was in skittles, right?

Great news. Society needs to keep pushing back against all these chemicals. Most of the stuff we buy should be at most 3-4 ingredients and somehow there's 30.

I have been reading labels for 10, 15 years now. Sour cream and cottage cheese both had a much longer ingredient list than I expected. I noped those right back on the shelf and bought my kids cheese strings instead.

A few positive surprises though - plain pork rinds are 3 ingredients, no seed oils, so I do get them for my kids instead of potato chips.

Wake me up when they remove palm oil from everything and stop making pickles, jalapeños, etc. in India.

what's the issue with palm oil? I heard it makes the tree huggers angry, but what else?

It’s a filler. It is a garbage ingredient that companies use to artificially bulk up the size of their products for cheap so they can increase profits. It tastes like shit too. If you eat something that you haven’t eaten in a while, years or longer, and it doesn’t taste the same, it is likely because it now has palm oil in it.

Let alone it was used in lubricant for steam engines or soap product should say something about it. You could excuse it been used for thousands of years but I guarantee today palm oil is today different from a couple of hundred years ago.

Pickles from India is so insulting. We used to grow them and pickle them here in Ontario. Everyone could get a job at the factory during the summer.
