CBC: rational rejection of religious dogma now constitutes "intolerance"

... but only because it affects Muslims, of course. Check out this insanity:

One Islamic student I knew received a failing grade on a paper about the Battle of Hattin because he credited God’s will in Saladin’s victory. He was told this wasn’t evidence. Schools aren’t neutral; they privilege certain perspectives and can alienate students of faith.”

So apparently any kind of Islamic superstition should now be immune to "intolerant" criticism, which simply means pointing out that it's bullshit. Particularly concerning is the role of Christian theologians themselves in facilitating this kind of nonsense, especially since some of them are still apparently upset about losing their all-powerful influence over the lives of others during the Enlightenment:

Theologian David Deane said intolerance of religion is often rooted in historical misconceptions, particularly in the modern West.
“Since the Renaissance and Enlightenment, Western societies have framed religion as a relic of darkness, opposed to reason. This creates a pervasive suspicion of all faiths, not just Christianity,” he said. “People assume religious believers are less rational or more prone to danger, assumptions that (are) simply false.

As it happens, anyone with a deep emotional investment in a particular ideology or dogma is going to pose some kind of threat to others to the extent that they feel personally threatened by those who disagree, and in the contemporary West that person is most likely going to be a Muslim.

So I guess we have to say flying horses are real now? Although I think Christianity is far more reasonable that Islam has ever been.

Western society is based on Christianity and the further it gets away from it the worse it gets.
