We are quickly approaching 3 million people who have signed an online petition asking for leniency for Harjinder Singh, the Indian illegal alien whose reckless driving resulted in three deaths.

(I'll give you one guess as to a commonality in most of the petition signers.)

While most commenters said it was an accident, some blamed the passengers:

More from Fox News:

If convicted, the petition requests that Singh receive a 'proportionate and reasonable' sentence, that parole eligibility be granted after part of his sentence is served and that alternatives to incarceration — like counseling or community service — be considered.
One of the reasons this petition is gaining ground is because, for some reason, in a tough economy with Americans needing jobs, a very large percentage of our truckers happen to be Punjabi. Secretary of State Marco Rubio's freeze on new CDLs for migrants is a financial blow to their ethnic group.

Yes, here's a full quote from the Hindustan Times:

Harsimrat Badal has also urged the Centre to take up the issue of the freezing of work visas of all foreign truck drivers by the US following the fatal crash.
'Punjabi and Sikh drivers make up 20 per cent of the United State' trucking industry, with around 1.5 lakh Sikh drivers engaging in trucking in the US. Any mass-level action against them would have a detrimental effect on trucking families and would be discriminatory in nature, considering the fact that Punjabis have built and sustained trucking logistics and trucking networks over decades,' she said.
1 out of 5 truckers in America is Sikh or Punjabi from India!

1 out of 5!

The petition is addressed to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Live look at DeSantis hearing the suggestion that we should reduce penalties for people who break our laws and kill our people:

Well I guess we can at least be thankful that J.D. Vance isn't President.

There is a small part of me that wants to see the guy get off with a light sentence.

That's not because I don't believe in justice, it's because there need to be more people getting involved in stopping this invasion from continuing and a proper sentence will result in people disengaging and forgetting about it.

This isn't just about this one driver, it's about hundreds of thousands of others who have no reason to be here.

India is a big place, I am sure they can crash into each other over there.

The amount of raghead comments in regards to this who are like the van was at fault, the van was at fault, the van could have stopped, the van didn’t even try stopping, they’re just making a big deal out of cos he’s a brown guy and so on and so forth… disgusting and more proof that the cultures are not compatible and aren’t going to be in the next 5 centuries at least.

Indians need to be placed both behind physical firewalls and internet firewalls in their own country. Neither seen nor heard.
