Intel stock was always playing with 20 dollars or so a share last while and spiked recently.

Wasnt the new CEO a chinese plant or something and wasnt the stock set to tank?

I am learning of rumors the Pentagon and DOD are going to become major player in Intel for national security reasons. Is Intel worth looking at now as a stock or is the chinese CEO gonna take Intel down. Why the sudden national security interest in Intel by the Trump admin. Is Intel gonna be made great again?

What is happening here??

Any one who is an investor might want to take note as it looks like there is more upside then downside in the developments happening as of late

Keep in mind i am not a finacial advisor and eat crayons especially purple ones cause they are delicious

Usually if the government has to get involved in this way it means that the company is failing and will continue to fail. Nvidia and AMD are eating Intel's lunch and Intel's offering is getting worse and worse.

I feel like it’s more about the US making sure they’ve got a chip maker for their military weapons.

Feels like they are reliant on Intel. I don't want to know how many military system, including nuclear weapons, run on some Windows 3.1 based system or some shit like that.

Processors are very important. They are a national security issue... I don't get why it doesn't make sense?

It's why we have subsidized dairy and farms here. If shtf we don't want to be reliant on American dairy. How much you spend on this idea, I'm not sure but it makes some sense. I read about a guy that worked dairy in Alaska for a few years. Obviously not the best place for a dairy farm but it is strategic.

@CaptainTrouble this to me make the most sense and therefore it is a positive indicator of a solid investment to add to my portfolio but i wanted to see if anyone had some insight that i wasn't aware of i.e the Chinese link and if it is more sabotage to make the other chips more viable

The problem is when the government is involved anything can happen. They could nationalize the company after it nearly bankrupts. They could come up with a billion ways to depress shareholder value while benefiting government buddies. Once government is involved, all normal investing rules go out the window. It's a crap shoot.
